Chemistry
Chemistry.com is designed much along the lines of eHarmony in many ways. It utilizes scientific principles developed by Dr. Helen Fisher, a professor of anthropological research for more than 20 years. The site is a spinoff of Match.com.
The personality profile questionnaire required for signup is a fairly time consuming, and thorough, exercise. It seeks to probe deep, and find out who you really are, in order to find the best possible match for your particular personality traits.
A base membership is free and, until further notice, there is currently a seven day FREE TRIAL on a premium membership, which allows you to try all the tools and features without obligation to remain a member.
Like eHarmony and PerfectMatch, Chemistry does not allow browsing of member photos and profiles. Instead, you will be sent up to five profiles every day, that Chemistry feels are a good match for your personality and character traits, based on your profile and the profiles of your five matches.
Free members may not initiate, or receive, contact with any of these matches, but paid members may choose to initiate contact with one of the matches that Chemistry.com has sent, using the guided communication system of Q&A’s and emails to facilitate breaking the ice.
If you feel there’s promise, and want to move forward, then you can request a first meeting, and schedule a face-to-face date with the match of your choice. It’s not as clinical as it sounds. After all, you ARE looking for Chemistry! This has all been carefully constructed, based on the science of what creates a powerful attraction between two people.
